Redthorn & Agile Business Solutions acquired by Dynamic Network Alliance Ltd to offer innovative software and services to manufacturing sector. Following 24 successful years supporting the UK manufacturing sector with integrated management software, Preston based Redthorn UK Ltd and its sister company Aventa UK Ltd have been acquired by Dynamic Network Alliance, a new group of companies lead by local entrepreneur Tom Dawes and ex-Airbus and BAE Systems executives Mark Hughes and Phil Jones. The acquisition also includes the merger with Agile Business Solutions which is the UK’s leading supplier development organisation focused on manufacturing SMEs and has been a major delivery partner for the North West Aerospace Alliance supply chain improvement programme

The AeroDNA India team welcome new recruit Vivek Nuthi who is a CNC machining expert with a wealth of experience improving competitiveness of Indian manufacturing companies. Aerospace Special Processes expert Mr. A.Srinivas has been recruited to strengthen the AeroDNA India team and to offer Indian manufacturing companies turnkey support when establishing new NADCAP special process facilities or introducing new niche processes. Srinivas has 20 years experience of aerospace electroplating, painting, NDT, coatings, shot peening and heat treatments. He has lead the formation of 2 leading aerospace special process facilities in India including the Quest / Magellan joint venture in Belgaum which is fully NADCAP approved.

Ltd based in Chennai, to supports its expansion plans with strategic acquisitions and joint ventures of global aerospace companies. The ambitious company currently manufactures complex components for GE Engines and is expanding its OEM customer base through its partnership with AeroDNA.

AeroDNA has agreed a strategic partnership with Cyth Ltd which is a UK and US based company specialising in embedded equipment controls. The partnership is benefits from the cloud based optimisation tools developed by AeroDNA and the solutions developed by Cyth to capture real-time manufacturing data from the shopfloor. This integrated approach enables AeroDNA and Cyth to offer a unique solution to advanced engineering companies enabling improved utilisation of resources and return on capital employed. The Cyth controls capture live manufacturing status which is fed into the AeroDNA ERP system, automatically measuring plant utilisation but more importantly providing dynamic shopfloor data to support the optimisation of future planning scenarios.

AeroDNA has been selected as the preferred technology partner to support a 3 year European funded project to support 64 advanced engineering companies in North West England. The project – Collaborate to Innovate – is being delivered by lead partners University of Liverpool and Agile Business Solutions UK to improve operational performance and develop collaborative networks of advanced engineering companies. King & Fowler UK has recently installed the AeroDNA ERP system to streamline the NADCAP paperwork process whilst optimising customer service and resource utilisation.

King & Fowler was formed in 1887 and has a strong tradition in the aerospace industry. However many of the internal and external processes were very manual relying on the efforts of people rather than best practice processes.

AeroDNA has streamlined the AS9100/NADCAP paperwork and consolidated the vast range of customer quality approvals using the DNA Code i.e. rather than having multiple customer specifications to work on (such as Boeing, Airbus, Rolls Royce, Bombardier and GE), the DNA Code generates an internal specification that meet the requirements of multiple customers for a given process.

AeroDNA client secures AS9100 and Airbus approval following recent installation.

North Wales Aeroforms has achieved ISO 9001 AS9100 rev c accreditation for its machining and treatments facility following the recent installation of AeroDNA.

The AeroDNA paperwork and workflow has been designed to meet the stringent requirements of AS9100 rev c. Following a swift installation of the AeroDNA system, North Wales Aeroforms had confidence that they were complying with AS9100 and that there processes were sustainable and scalable.

Jim Walters has been recruited to head the AeroDNA Enterprises Division to focus on Business Development and Aerospace Industrialisation.

Jim has a wealth of aerospace sector experience and has held senior business development roles for SPS AeroStructures and Nu-Pro. Jim has developed a global network within the aerospace industry and is passionate about knowledge transfer and supply chain development in the emerging supply chains such as China, India, Malaysia, UAE, Eastern Europe and Brazil.
